You see a vast desert, mobile mountains of humanoid aspect moving at incredible speeds. Yet none is approaching your haven; you chose well with this rocky terrain that no soft giant would want to lie upon. The cry you heard was but the shout of a colossal being so far above your current quarter-inch self - there is a great cacophony, every shout, scream and laugh of holiday-makers across the entire beach.
So while there are no giant feet interfering, you'll have to put up with much distracting noise. You would block your ears, but you need to hear to survive. Quite a conundrum, as the booming sound of giants will leave you unable to hear an approaching predator.
Something to consider, as you ponder your first steps in this giant world. The tide has, as always, dragged up stick and twigs. They could serve as good construction materials, were you to gather some up. Even the smallest piece of wood is like a great oak tree to you! Seashells lie about as well, and perhaps you could experiement to see what use you can get from them.
Maybe a meal to get your strength up would be a good start? There is some seaweed, why not try out how that tastes? Or in those pools, you could see if there's a little crab for you to hunt.
Then there are the giants. You could make a little expedition to see if there'sanything worth stea- scavenging from them.
Without giants being right on top of you, you can work at your own pace!
