You re-read the note, and although you knew this wasn't simple detachment mode, but duplication, you decide to just sit back and observe the fun that was about to unfold. You press the button on the hilt and time restarts. The world got a little fuzzy, but everything cleared up quickly.
"Enough!" the mother yelled, getting the attention of both her daughters.
"Since neither of you won't agree on anything, you leave me with no choice."
She then proceeded to transform into two copies of herself, each one about half her original size. Both mini-moms retained their proportions, but they were a little smaller than Kelly.
"Okay Melissa," said one mini-mom. "I'll take you clothes shopping"
"And Kelly, I'll take you to see the movie", the other mini-mom said.
Melissa just her eyes at what her mother had just done. She didn't seem surprised at her mother's ability, just embarrassed. Kelly, however, looked rather happy.
The mini-moms took their respective daughters and went their separate ways. You weren't sure of which one to follow - either scenario with a mother shorter than her daughter would be quite amusing. Or perhaps you could try moving on to someone else...
