Applebloom had always been a fit, active young pony, and had always enjoyed the life of a farm pony.
However, Applebloom had a different calling in her life. While she enjoyed playing with her friends, bucking apples and other such things, she'd always wanted to be big and fat.

Applebloom couldn't explain why, it's always been a fascination with her ever since she saw the fattest pony alive. She never considered being a fat pony until then, but when she got the idea, it stuck.
Applejack tried discouraging this, but to no avail. Applebloom tried to eat tons of food, and do as little work as possible to keep from losing the weight, but Applejack was a tough master, and didn't allow her to follow her dreams.

Applebloom was at Sugarcube Corner, when someone noticed she was a little blue. When they came up to cheer up Applebloom, it was revealed to be..
