Hearing the sound of the food being filled in a bowl immediately got all the pets attention, and they all rushed over as quick as possible.
"Oh dear." Mrs Twombly said as the all the pets where gathering around her feet. This wasn't going to be easy to say. "Listen!" She said, and all the pets stopped to pay attention to her. "We happen to be short on pet food, and there was only enough food to fill the bowl of Penny Ling. You others have to wait while I'm out buying some more." Mrs Twombly said, before taking her purse and leaving the pet shop.
The other pets felt disappointed and irritated that Penny Ling to all the food that was left to herself as they walked away to do other things. Penny Ling know for her kindness and generosity would gladly have shared her food with the others, but the other thing she was known for was that she liked to eat a lot, and that had to do with her having a large appetite. And right now she had a very big hunger inside of her, so all she could think of was to start eating the food that was in her bowl.
As she sat down and shoved the first kibbles into her mouth she felt that the taste was a bit different, but nothing that really bothered her for the moment. She continued eating and could feel as she ate that the kibbles felt more different then the one she was used to. They had a much more "sugar filled" and "fatty" texture to them. Not that she complained, but it was very different from the much more nutritious kibbles she and the other pets where usually feed with.
When she was about halfway through her portion she could strangely feel like she was already very full. Taking a break from eating she looked down and got shocked by what she saw. After only having been eating a half bowl of food her stomach had grown out half a feet in diameter! It was so round and wide that it looked like if she had been eating two full bowls of food. (Which she had done one time in the past.) "That's strange, I usually doesn't get that full that quickly." Penny Ling thought, while stretching out her hand to feel her belly. "But I guess that those kibbles where even more filling then I thought..."
As soon as she had put her hand on her belly she stopped thinking about everything. She had been expecting the skin of her belly to feel hard and taunt because of the food, but what she instead felt was soft and flabby. There wasn't any food inside of her anymore, all of it had been turned into body fat!
This sudden surprise made Penny Ling scream of shock for a short moment, before she covered her own mouth, not wanting to make a scene. Had she seriously gain so much weight from just half a bowl? Looking down she poked her belly, and shaked it around a little to prove that she wasn't making this up. She then looked over at the still half filled food bowl and wondered what to do. If she had gained so much by only eating half of it, she didn't want to know how big she would get if she ate it all. But she was also feeling a little bit hungry still, but was it worth it when it did such strange things to her?
