Does fat look good on me?

    by: amber Author IconMail Icon
It was a normal day for Blythe. working in the pet store. Well she liked working here, and talking with the animals. Well no one knew she could talk with animals except the animals. She never told anyone. Because they probably would't believe her and think she was kind crazy. If they did believe her they would maybe think she was some kind of freak.
She just finished filling the bowls with food for the animals.

"Here you go. Lunchtime everyone!"

"Eh could I perhaps have a bit more?" Russel asked.

"Russel why do you want more. This is what I normally give you since I started working here. Why do you suddenly want more?"

"Eh... It's my instinct." Russel said.

"I thought you instinct was to curl to a ball." Blythe said and giggled.

"That's only when I'm in danger." Russel said. "We hedgehogs hibernate. Much animals that hibernate try to gain some weight around now so they have something to live on while they are asleep."

"But Russel, you have a owner. During the winter you're warm inside a house. You don't have to hibernate."

"I know. But it's just my instinct to eat more to gain some weight.around now."

"Careful Russel or else you get fat. You can better stay slim. Humans also try to stay slender."

"Why is that?" Minka asked excited like always.

"Well slender people are beautiful." Blythe said. Ït's also more..."

"Are you sure about that?" Minka asked. "Don't people think fat girls look good?"

"Well I don't think so. Why?"

Minka fast jumped to a high place in the pet store and returned with two magazines.
Minka fast looked through them and opened both of them on a page.

"I once go those magazines. They're full of paintings from famous painters! I wanted to look through them to improve my art but I also found those."

Blythe looked. One painting was from Rubens with a painting of a fat Lady. The other paintings were from Bortero where all man, woman, kids and even animals looked obese.

"It seems like humans like fat girls." Minka said.

"Minka this was painted over a century ago." Russel said pointing at the painting of Rubens. "Back then people perhaps thought different about fat people."

"But those paintings are still famous!" Minka said excited.

Blythe started thinking. Those painting still were famous. Could it be that people like fat girls. Or was Russel right and did they only liked fat girls in the past. Or did some people liked fat girls. Perhaps. She never thought of that. The people in those paintings did't looked bad. After all they were world famous.
She even started thinking: was she perhaps too thin. Would she look better if she was fat. She never thought of that but why not? Perhaps she did look better fat.
