Vanessa's eyes followed the woman going back inside, visible through the glass storefront of the cafe, and she could feel pressure building up in her hand around the wand again. She took a deep breath.
How well can this thing work?, she wondered, as her eyes scanned the room. She could just try making some small object disappear- a flyer on the wall, an empty coffee cup that didn't make it to the trash, even just the straw wrapper she's balled up and left on her own table. But something about that felt... boring. Why shouldn't she try and have a little more fun, like with the woman she'd spilled the drink of. Sure, some part of her felt bad. That part was very, very quiet next to the part that had just found out she owned a working magic wand.
So, Vanessa had a few options before her, looking through the windows at the coffee shop. The blond, older woman was standing in front of the bathrooms, trying to clean herself off, evidently waiting for the ladies' room to open up. If her shirt was becoming such a problem, Vanessa could get rid of it for her. Or what about this cafe employee, conveniently facing into the shop, trying his hardest not to stare at the blond woman's plight and instead focusing intently on the floor he was sweeping. He was a young guy, college age, and Vanessa thought he looked pretty cute. She also thought he'd look even cuter without the tight slacks he was unawarely sticking straight at her.
