Unfortunately for Rei, she quickly realized that she was feeling that same heat on her body again, this time near her pelvis! The fire had popped slightly again, and her robe's skirt had been hit this time! Doing her best not to panic, Rei stumbled back, kicking her way out of her burning skirt. Thankfully, just like the upper half of her robe, Rei was practiced in removing the robes, and she managed to slide out of the garment before any major damage had been done.
"Okay, this is just ridiculous!" Rei said, pointing a finger at the fire. "Clearly, you just want to mess with me today! So, I'm done!"
If the fire wanted to give her so much grief, Rei was just going to walk away. Leave the shrine, sit down, and relax. She could come back tomorrow and try again, and hopefully the fire would be better behaved this time.
