Usagi stretched in contentment as she relaxed in the warm waters of the hot spring. If there was a better way to unwind, Usagi had yet to hear about it.
"Ahhh, this is the life." the cheery blonde said to herself. "Being Sailor Moon is hard work, and I totally deserve a day of relaxation every once in awhile. What better time than right after a monster attack?"
Just yesterday, Usagi and her friends, the rest of the Senshi, had faced off in battle against a monster terrorizing the city. The battle had been a tough one, but the girls were victorious in the end. The monster had been defeated, but not destroyed, sent retreating to the darkness from whence it came, vowing revenge just like all the others. None of the girls thought anything of it, after all, if they had defeated it once, they could defeat it again. And that was assuming its threats of vengeance had any weight behind them.
No, there was nothing to worry about.
As Usagi soaked in the hot spring, she was blissfully unaware of the misfortune about to befall her. With her eyes closed in relaxation, Usagi completely failed to notice-
