This choice: Harry and Neville try together. • Go Back...Chapter #8Harry and Neville try together. by: Mr. George   The beaming smile of the overjoyed Neville was impossible to break, as he strutted back towards the cluster of Gryffindor students. With Zach heading back to his house group. Both were eager to share the experience, and any personal insights.
His best advice was concentrate on the wand movements, and allow your mind to handle saying the spell without concentrating too much. Slytherin and Hufflepuff were already breaking into pairs, and Ron gestured for Harry to follow him to an empty space.
However, Harry didn't respond. He was no longer looking his direction, instead seeing Harry being led the opposite way by a smirking Neville. There was a confused/amused expression on his face, and Ron turned to see Lee Jordan looking nervous about eager.
Dismissing his best friend, he went to the free space with Lee. Inside, he was a little upset, assuming Harry was being kind to Neville. But he needed to concentrate on his end of the spell. Facing off against Lee, they both silently practised the incantation, and the wand moves until they felt they were synchronised. It was all far more complicated than a simple swish and flick.
A flash of light, and an excited gabble of voices, told everyone in the room that a swap had occurred. The diligent Hufflepuffs being the first to manage the spell without direct supervision.

Harry looked nervously back at Neville, the whispered words still bouncing around the inside of his head. He could barely believe it. Ginny had the perfect impersonation of Neville, not merely the voice, but the mannerisms, and his bearing too.
The thought that soon he'd be in that body, made him unsure how to feel. He saw Neville/Ginny's lips move as she silently mouthed the spell. Meeting her eyes, he saw a twinkle of mischief that was pure Weasley, as she was ready to attempt the swap for real.
Harry saw the hesitation, as Ginny dismissed giving Harry a kiss. The excitement making her want to embrace the situation, but it'd be hard to explain as Neville.
Sharing a nod of the head, The pair cast the spell.
Verto Permuto
Harry was startled as it worked the first time. He only had a moment to think that, as his body felt unsteady, as if he were being pulled backwards. The classroom retreated into the dark, as if he were falling down a bottomless well.
As the tiny circle of light vanished, it snapped back causing him to recoil on his heels. Harry was looking at himself, a startled Ginny smirking with his face, his hands exploring the body. Oddly, Ginny checked for the lack of bust, and the reduced male rump, before recalling she was meant to be Neville.
Automatically, Harry was copying those same gestures. As he checked for a bust before stopping himself.
"It worked..." Harry exclaimed.
"Again..." Neville agreed.
The urge to hug was hard to resist, as their eyes met. But taking in both their bodies, quickly passed. Behind them a flash announced, the successful swap of Lee and Ron.
A few scattered chants around the room were mostly met with groans of frustration. Seeing the two swapped Gryffindor pairs, they were soon swamped with those seeking more advice, and suggestions.
