You thought about hanging on to the tens, but your gut told you that was going to be the low hand. So you hang on to your diamonds and take three cards.

You draw the Ace of Clubs and Two of Diamonds.

So much for listening to your gut.

And, as luck would have it, you have the low hand, with the next lowest hand being Tifa's with a pair of nines.

"At this rate, kid, we'll be rid of you soon," Nadine says, with a tone that says kidding/not kidding. Tifa gives her a pointed look, then gives you a softer one. "Do not worry, I am sure your luck will improve."

With a sigh that says "I hope so," you remove your jacket as the next hand is dealt out.
