It's kind of weird, the strategy you're having to play. Normally, you'd be playing (when you play online, or with your family), to optimize your hand. There'd be a little bluffing and, if necessary, some folding. But here, you can't fold and cut your losses. You have to stay throughout the hand. So your strategy is not to have the lowest hand.
This is going to take a little time to get used to, you tell yourself. You just hope you can adapt before you lose everything!
You discard everything but the king and the ten, and draw the Ten of Hearts, the Ten of Spades, and the Nine of Diamonds.
Well, that was much better than you were expecting!
When all the other hands are displayed, Lara ends up having the lowest hand, with a pair of sixes. Zoey starts whooping it up and drumming on the table as she looks stra8ght at Sam, who is pointedly not returning her look. Lara slides off her outer tank top and, after a few seconds of silence, Sam follows suit by removing her jacket. She sits at her booth sullenly after she does.
Hoping that somehow Sam's mood will change, but not really sure how to make thatT change happen, you take your five cards for the next round.
