Rubber Maid is Police Detective Rhonda Mord

Rubber Maid is on the trail of those troublesome imps Fric and Frac. While it's true they are not a high priority on the level of murderers, bank robbers, and terrorists they werea priority for Rubber Maid. These imps had made Mord the butt of far too many pranks and exposed her to a great deal of public humiliation.

Operating on a tip from an un-names source, Mord had reason to believe Fric and Frac could be found in an abandoned rubber ball factory at the north end of town. This now defunct company made a variety of sports balls in addition to kids bouncy balls, hoppers, and beach balls before it closed its doors.

Upon entering the boarded up factory by slipping through a crack in a boarded up window Mord discovered that the factory was again operational and several of the ball making machines were functional. As Mord looked around for the troublesome pair her attention was diverted by the sound a gong. Looking in the direction of the noise Mord is startled to see a heavy ball on a string launched directly at her. Before Rubber Maid can react or hope to escapr she is knocked into one of the ball making machines.
