Your name is Dave, a 15 year old Caucasian-mix living in Alaska. You'd loved your home town your entire life, but when the Old Grind of school, your annoying drinking dad, constantly bickering at your average grades and making you do woodwork and housework, it eventually got to tough.. for me. I got my dads winter coat and moms parka and bowir knofe, and thirty dollars from my dad's wallet, as if it was his.
I left a note detailing why I left, not caring if it'd be justifiable to them or not.. its April and the warmest time to go, and during night, at 9:30, I leave. Having a average build, the chopping of wood should help me if I need to chop a animal. My.. neutral nature would probably help me back away from an animal, or at the very least distract it. Making out unto the low grass, the lights and familiarity of my hometown fades out past the trees into the western woods. Theres a fair amount of trees with each other, then I see I've peft the water canteen and some foods for travel at home, but its to late to go back. Im making way through the trees, theres no.animals and the dim moonlight gives off a light glow against everything. Theres nothing but trees for maybe a mile, then I come to a small lake in the wood side, all around is more woodland. Theres definitely animals around here, all probably in slumber. So taking my coat and parka off, I bend down to the lake surface and get some fresh, cool water. Way to make the best of running away, I hope, but, a vibration rippling the surface almost un-noticeably stops me from getting ready to go again.
It seems to move steadily, and nothing significant happens, losing my interest and getting up to leave. Then it shakes more, its a little freaky, and gives me the feeling im not alone. So I hastily start moving along the lakeside to get more southeast. Why's it freaky tonight? I dont know. Soon.. a humming happens.
