Experimental brain transplant surgery saves either your life, or someone very close.

This choice: Sometime later.  •  Go Back...
Chapter #6

Sometime later.

    by: Ash Author IconMail Icon
A week passed, and there was little you could do about what happened. You were now your own mother. The thought still sort of disgusted you, and the fact that you now had her body meant that you were constantly reminded of the fact. Your mom forced you to dress like her, you had her voice, but you still looked and acted like a teenage boy. There was little she could do to really stop that, despite her best efforts. Then again, the whole family was going through something similar. Nobody was exactly happy with how the other member of the family acted in their body. You were always lecturing your mom about acting too effeminate, for instance.

You still felt like everyone else had a routine to fall into based on their body. They went to school or work. Your mom made sure you did her chores around the house, but it still felt like you were just helping her out and not falling into any sort of housewife-y pattern. Today's task was a trip to the grocery store.

Being able to drive by yourself was cool. Back in your own body, you only had a learner's permit, which meant someone else had to be in the car at the same time. Now it didn't matter; you were driving all the time. Of course, you will still driving like someone who had only just gotten their learner's permit. You slammed on the brakes too hard; it was difficult to park within the lines; and so on. People honked at you a lot; you gave them the finger in return quite frequently.

Shopping sucked. You never liked being dragged along before, and you hated doing it now. It started out pretty mundane, picking out things like milk and eggs. Then, of course, you realized that your mom wasn't there to tell you what NOT to do. You grabbed a big bag of candy and some soda. Then you pushed the cart really hard and jumped on the back, flying down the aisle. You weren't quite able to stop it soon enough before smashing into another cart.

The person with the cart quickly turned around and recognized you...

You have the following choices:

*Pen*
1. It was one of your mom's friends...

2. It was one of your friends...

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
