She straightened her hair in the hallway mirror and rushed out the door. The bus stopped at the corner of Palmeston Road and Main Street. She saw the sign, 'The Slug and Lettuce', waving back and forth in the wind. She lingered and hesitated before opening the door.
"Well, are you going in, or running for the hills?"
The deep voice came from across her shoulder and she glanced behind her. "I'm not sure yet. You go right ahead."
He smiled and winked. "I'll see you inside."
Josie's heart skipped a couple of beats. He took her breath away with his brown eyes and nice smile. She checked her watch and had five minuets to make up her mind.
She pulled the door open and walked in. Voices mingled down the hallway and she followed them. Around the corner she entered a large conference room, and her jaw dropped.
She now understood the "relaxed atmosphere" from the pamphlet.
