"Hey Lyga! I haven't heard from you in awhile, what's up?" You say in excitement from hearing his voice again.
"Hey ...! Oh nothing. I just wanted to call and see how you're doing." He said with his shy voice as if he was trying to hide something.
"What? You haven't we haven't seen each other in like nine years." You blurt out in disbelief that this was just a check up call. "Come on man. Why did you really call?" You ask him trying to see the real reason he called.
"I know how long it been. I-It's just that. I just want to say hi." He stuttered shying away from you again.
"Hey I'm sorry about that but I just find it hard to believe that you would just check on me after 9 or so years of silence." You explain to him hoping to ease his shyness.
"It just that I... nevermind. I'll call you later." He says as he hangs up.
'Well. I certainly screwed that one up.' You think to yourself.
"Maybe I should wait a little bit and see if he does call me back or if I have to call him back. Or I could just call him back now and say sorry." You say out loud.
