Your name is Ashely, a 16 year old guy. You have terrible sleeping problems, being easily stirred awake by the slightest noise. That's why it was awesome when you found out the basement was essentially void of any sorta noise after 8 in the evening. Everything was great until a huge downpour came in and flooded your room and damaging all the furniture down there as well. Your parents called someone to drain the water, however many houses were affected and your house is at the bottom of the waiting list. For now, all your parents could do was offer the family couch for the time being, they even offered some of the nice sheets from their bed to make it easier. You are disgruntled, but not ungrateful to the gesture and accept the offer hoping you can return to your own room soon.
However, sleeping on the couch proved far more taxing on you then you could have imagined. The couch was old and hard to sleep on, since no really complained about it they hadn't bothered to replace it. What was worse was that every slight noise would stir you awake and the night would to go on forever until morning, leaving you with little to no sleep at all. As the nights went on, your grumpiness from the lack of sleep turned to relaxed and slow disinterest, with you just wanting it to end. No one but your 15 year old sister, Anna, notices this since you seem so cooperative and not that talkative about it.
"Hey Ash, what's up?" Anna asks cheerfully.
You jump at first due to the sudden sound, but meekly turn around with an embarrassed and tired look on your face. "Nothing much, just sitting around."
