As you enter the room, you hear the ramblings of chatter. What confused you was that it sounded so close, yet you couldn't see anybody at first. You then look around the room and notice why it was so noisy. You see several rows of shelves, filled with disembodied heads, all chatting away to each other.
"Oh, look! We have a visitor!" You hear one head shout. As he says that, all of the heads in the room turn to face you. It was a very strange sight.
"Um...Hi there. Listen, I'm not from around here, can I ask how you are all still alive?" You say, hoping to get some context for what you were seeing.
"I knew you didn't look like someone from this time." One of the heads says. "It is the advancement in medical science that has aloud us to live independently from our bodies." She says.
"Okay. That's awesome, but that leads on to my next question. Why did you want to live without your bodies?" You ask. Too your surprise, you are met with a cluster of different answers to that question.
"I was sick of having to look after my body." "Being a head is so much easier." "My body was getting old." "I'm waiting for my new body to arrive." "I donated my body to the clinic." "I wasn't happy with my body, so I got rid of it."
As the answers keep coming, you look over the rows of heads.
