The book suddenly flies out of her hand.

Silver jumps back as the strange text flies across the room, landing in the center of her living room. The book lands open on the page with the image, and nothing happens for a couple seconds. Then, a pool of thick black goo begins to pour out of the book.

"What the hell!? What's going on!?" she yells, clearly freaking out by the strange occurrence taking place in the center of the room.

The goo stops pouring out for a moment, leaving a still puddle surrounding the book, when Silver notices something rising out of the goo. It was some sort of tentacle, but not one like on an octopus. This tentacle was made completely of the black goo, and was smooth, tapering off into a dull nub at its end. It snaked its way out of the puddle and away from the book, Silver seeing that the creature was about a yard long. The tentacle suddenly orientated itself as if it was "looking" at Silver.
