The giant figure that stood over the girls was none other than their beloved friend, Hibiki(Gold)! The dark-haired, jacket-wearing young man appeared to be a regular giant to the shrunken girls, standing at some 50 feet tall from their mouse-size perspective. He appeared to be looking around the room casually, as if he was looking for something.
"Hibiki!" Kotone cried in joy and rushed over to her now giant-sized friend and ally. The tiny brunette only reached up to Hibiki's shoe, but nevertheless, she hugged the boy's shoe tightly.
Kotone's warm reception was not unnoticed by Hibiki, who looked down and saw both Kotone and Kris standing down on the floor, reduced to only about 6 inches tall. Hibiki was shocked by this and unsure of how to respond.
"K-Kotone! H-How did this happen?" Hibiki dropped to one knee and took a gentle pose over the shrunken girls.
"Oh, I don't know how!" Kotone replied, teary-eyed. After all she'd been through, she felt like she could release some tension now that Hibiki had come to save her and Kris.
Hibiki looked down at her, feeling sad and sorry for both girls' current sizes. He was nervous around the shrunken girls, even though he'd been on many adventures with the both of them since the start, seeing them the size of dolls now made them look and feel fragile to him. He worried that they might break if he got too rough with them, and so just let Kotone cry her heart out and weep on his shoe.
Kris walked over to Hibiki, she was glad he was here, but didn't show it like Kotone by hugging his foot, instead she offered a big smile and, with her arms folded, an explanation as to what just happened to her and Kotone.
"It was Archer, the Team Rocket 'leader' who did this. He did something to the radio controls and made some kind of soundwave that somehow shrank us down to this size." Kris explained more coherently than Kotone.
"Archer, huh? Don't worry about him. I've already taken care of him." Hibiki said triumphantly. Kris let out a sigh of relief at this news.
"How long has it been? You've beaten him already?" Kris asked, somewhat shocked by Hibiki's quick action against Team Rocket.
"Not exactly. As soon as I showed up, he ran off and got away. I was going to chase after him, but then I wondered where you and Kotone were, since I hadn't seen you on the way up here." Hibiki explained.
"That's good. Thank you for your help." Kris said. Hibiki smiled at her and Kotone, but looked sad at the same time.
"I'm sorry, if only I'd come a minute sooner, I might've been able to help prevent this from happening to you two!" Hibiki said.
"No! Don't think like that, Hibiki! You saved us!" Kotone shouted.
"Yeah. If you were here a minute earlier, you might've just been shrunk along with us." Kris offered. Hibiki seemed reluctant, but nodded.
"Thanks, girls. I promise I'll help you two out anyway I can now!" Hibiki told them. Kotone smiled and nodded big time, happy that her friend was happy.
"Yeah, it's for the best. Besides, I can only imagine what Archer and Ariana might've done with us otherwise." Kris shivered at the thought.
"Ariana, huh? Well, you don't have to worry about her either..." Hibiki started to say.
