Things were slow in Sugar Cube Corner, especially with Pinkie Pie currently away with the others, but that quickly changed when the door was swung open by Sweetie Belle. Mr. and Mrs. Cake both smiled at their customer, but the looks on their faces were quickly changed when they caught sight of her. As she panted, they naturally noticed the heavy gut she was now sporting, and while curious, they also both decided not to question her and seem rude. As the stuffed filly approached the counter, Mr. Cake carefully spoke, "Uh, good-uh, good morning, Sweetie Belle."
"Good morning, Mr. Cake." she panted, the rush to getting over to the sweets shop having caught up with her, while her weight was still absent from her mind. Shaking her head to get her focus back, Sweetie quickly said, "Hi, Mr. Cake. I need to buy all the ingredients needed to make cupcakes. I have to make a fresh batch for my sister." Once more, The Cakes were tempted to comment on a touchy subject, but instead Mrs. Cake said that they would be right back with what she needed, thus leaving Sweetie Belle to wipe the sweat from her now calm brow.
However, it was then that a cacophony of tantalizing aromas were send suddenly sniffed into the filly's nose. She hadn't noticed in her haste, but now that she had a moment, it donned on Sweetie Belle that all around her and behind the counter, were the best sweets in all of Ponyville. While she had enjoyed her own cupcakes more than any treat she had ever tasted, that part of her brain had suddenly gone silent, as her eyes widened and began to sparkle. All around her were cakes and cookies and cupcakes and muffins and....and...and...a bit of drool began to leak from her mouth. Her stuffed belly suddenly felt rather empty, as something inside of her was now begging for more.
