Chapter #6

Home sweet home

    by: Kingfisher Author IconMail Icon
You head over to your bed and open one of the boxes you set down at the end.

"Well, might as well set up shop." you say, pulling out some neatly... well, semi-folded clothes as your new room-mates do much of the same.

"So, anyone see any of the girls here? They're pretty cute." says Eric, hoping to start up a manly conversation.

"Really? That's what you're focused on?" asks Samuel. "I thought that by coming to Arcane Academy that you'd be a bit more interested in learning, oh I dunno, magic?"

"Of course! But that doesn't mean that we have to do nothing else but schoolwork" he responds with gusto. "[Name] can agree with me here. I already saw him talking to a cute girl on the ride here"

"You were watching us?" you ask him

"Nope. I was watching HER." Eric puts you into a headlock and continues "So what's her name, huh? Did she give you her number already?"

"Her name is Terra." you gasp as you try to release yourself from Eric's hold "And it's none of your business."

"I'll take that as a yes." he says with a triumphent smile, albeit without good reason.

"Let go of me!"

"Fine. But you're gonna introduce me to her."

"Not on your life."

You struggle for another moment before you get a hold of Eric's hair. You didn't pull it or anything, but just scratching your fingers through it to mess it up was enough to change his focus to something other than bugging you.

"Woah! Not cool." he says as he looks for a hairbrush.

"He did say to let go." says Samuel, who is now just reading a book on his bed. It also appears that he has already finished unpacking.

"Anyway, the speech isn't for another two hours or so." he continues "Since you didn't hear."

What to do now...

Eric's too focused with his ravaged lockes to do much of anything, and Samuel seems content with just reading.

You have the following choices:

1. Talk a walk around the school. I've got time.

*Noteb*
2. Finish unpacking and just relax a bit before the speech.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
