Katherine was driving down the dark road, they had decided to take a walk through the woods to relax. Mindy was next to her in the passenger seat, showing a defeated face. Night had already fallen and yet they still felt defeated. "How about we order pizza when we get back" Katherine said in a tone that tried to comfort her daughter although noticing her own sadness. "Whatever" Mindy said nothing more. "Look wuizas if we ask for a loan from the bank we can..." Katherine tried to say only to be interrupted by an annoyed Mindy. "And since we will pay for it, mom, let's just accept it, the world will always be against us, that's how it has been, and that's how it will always be, and I doubt that anything is going to change that!" Mindy exclaimed. Before Katherine could say anything, a noise caught their attention, causing Katherine to stop the car abruptly. "You heard that" Katherine said to her daughter. At that moment mother and daughter saw how the sky lit up purple followed by a huge giant fireball. "A meteor!!!" Mindy exclaimed surprised. They both watched as it crashed in an area of the forest not far from them. "Did you see that mom was huge" Mindy said unbuckling her seat belt. "Wait mindy where are you going" Katherine said worried. "Mom, meteorite fragments are worth millions, one that size would make us rich for life" Mindy said getting out of the car. Katherine thought about it for a moment and remembering her current economic situation. "Come on mom this is a unique opportunity" Mindy said crossing her arms. Sighing in defeat, Katherine unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car, following her daughter.
Mother and daughter walked through the lush forest following the smoke and the bright purple glow. Finally they both reached the impact zone and looked along the edge of the crater, being stunned by what they saw. The meteorite was the size of Katherine's car, however, what stood out the most about it was that it was imbued with a strange purple energy "Mindy, that's not a normal meteorite, is it?" Katherine said with wide eyes. "It is not". To her surprise and fear, Mindy began to go down, being stopped by her mother's voice. "Mindy could be radioactive!" Katherine said concerned. "Mom, believe me if it was, we'd already be dead" Mindy said rolling her eyes. Katherine looked at her daughter with concerned eyes until Mindy spoke. "Come on, there's nothing to be afraid of" Mindy said to which Katherine looked at the meteorite and then at her daughter before sighing and starting to go down to the center of the crater with her daughter.
After a few seconds they both found themselves inside the crater and walked slowly towards the meteorite noticing that it seemed to beat like a heart due to the strange purple energy.
As soon as they got closer, they felt a strange attraction to the meteorite. Once they were in front of it, they both stared at it with their eyes open. "Then how do we take a fragment" Katherine said with a voice a little far away feeling. "I...don't...know" Mindy replied in the same tone.
