Chapter #6....like a queen. by: Wasp   Fiona found herself stopping in front of something she wouldn't have picked out as a funhouse mirror effect.
Rather than distorting her body in order to provide a cheap laugh, she found herself staring at an altogether different reflection.
The Fiona in the mirror was taller, not in the stretched-out, gangly way a trick mirror might normally make her look. No, she was naturally and perfectly proportioned, with long, voluminous hair, a large, plentiful bust, a narrow waist, and wide, child-bearing hips, as if she'd grown up into a perfectly-molded woman.
What really surprised her, however, were the clothes she wore.
Her body was wrapped in a form-fitting black gown, highlighted with gold trim. The sleeves were short and puffy, giving way to a pair of long black opera gloves. From what little she could see, she appeared to be wearing dainty high-heeled slippers. Her fingers were covered in rings, a beautiful necklace hanging down to her bust, while her ears were pierced, simple pearl earrings in them. Atop her head rested a crown of gold. Mobius' crown.
She was a queen. Not in the "My boyfriend says he's king and he'll beat you up if you disagree" sense that she was before, but a real queen. Rich. Powerful. Pampered. Loved.
As Fiona stared into the mirror, the pink glow returned, flooding out and into her eyes as they began to swirl. A content, queenly smile formed on her face, and she began to reach out for the mirror, her hand rising without any input of her own. Her fingertip touched the mirror, and...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
