"Get yourself together," he thought, "This is just another step toward Talon's dominance." Gabriel Reyes sat at the controls of a stealth airship above the Greek islands. The last 30 years of his life saw him turned into a super soldier, lead a team against the Omnic Crisis, and eventually go against it and found a terrorist organisation. Also, he became a half-ghost. He'd been on many heists and missions before, most of which were failures, but this time it was different.
An object had recently been unearthed outside the small town of Ilios, in Greece. Greek myths told of a woman who was given a powerful relic by the gods, and she used it to reach a titanic size, annihilating armies that invaded Greece. Soon the gods began to fear her, and as such removed this relic and buried it farther than any man could ever dig. As time went on, men made drills, and eventually the relic was discovered. News leaked, and eventually Ilios’s government decided to lock it away.
Gabe looked behind him at the two women in his airship. One woman was the elite and brainwashed sniper, Amélie Lacroix, who had been turned into Widowmaker. The other was a Mexican woman whose name Gabe didn’t know, but who went by Sombra. He thought about which of the two should be the one to use the relic, as it didn’t seem to affect men. On one hand, Widow was (literally) a cold-blooded killing machine. She would have absolutely no mercy in that position. On the other hand, Sombra was better on the ground than Widow. She seemed to just be able to manipulate anything in her favor. That said, Gabe held a sneaking suspicion that she was going to go rogue on Talon. She had tendency to go silent during important mission, like that time she was supposed to kill the head of Volskya Industries but she escaped.
No, it would be far better to use on Widow. She was a manipulated and controllable agent. Gabe landed the airship slightly outside the base where the relic was held.
