Can a human girl survive in a mental hospital for giant monsters
This choice: West Door- Block B  •  Go Back...
Chapter #2

B Block

    by: Unknown

You saw the door on the West side of the room and remembered that door lead to B-Block. You hesitate slightly before you make a dash under the door. As you’re running, you look back and see six doors and start to recall the monsters staying in B-Block

First was the wereskunk Hazel. You heard she wanted to be a comedian, but nobody thought her jokes were that funny. This led to her becoming the giant monster equivalent of the Joker with her green hair, white makeup and permanent slasher smile. She played all sorts of pranks that nearly got tens of monsters killed. She’s so far the only monster you know of in the K.D.P. to be in a straightjacket and even then she managed to unbuckle it. What made her even scarier was her skunk spray. While all skunks sprayed a foul scent, Hazel sprayed out a gas that was highly toxic to humans and could render a human metropolis uninhabitable.

Then there was Artemis, a python. She was a dragon resembling an actual python but with legs. Artemis was a drunk who came to the K.D.P. to quit drinking. It was a good thing to do for herself but bad for you. Since Artemis has been deprived of alcohol so long, she’s got a serious case of the munchies and will eat anything considered to be food by humans and monsters. That includes you.

One of the more infamous monsters in the K.D.P. was Jen, a haniver, a monster resembling a giant stingray. The woman got a head injury walking home from a movie about the mad scientist Dr. Saturday. When she recovered, she was convinced she was Dr. Saturday and begun to build all sorts of crazy weapons to take over the world. Of all the monsters, she’s escaped more than anyone else combined. You still don’t know how she manages to smuggle all that high tech equipment into the institute. The woman also had an electric stinger in her tail and knew how to use it. She could fly and breath underwater, making her the hardest critter for the lifeguards to catch. To make matters worse was that she often tricked the weaker minded patients into helping her escape. And just your luck, Jen used humans as guinea pigs or a quick snack. Mad scientists are bad enough when they’re not giant monsters.

There was also Phoenicia, a hippocampus, a type of monster resembling a cross between a horse and a fish, similar to the creature from the Black Lagoon. There was a similar creature called a kelpie, but Phoenicia had a large fin on her lower back that her kelpie cousin Aqua didn’t. Phoenicia wasn’t an ice element monster but she hated heat so much that she would willingly expose herself to below zero conditions to the point of wearing a bikini in the snow when she didn’t have any fur to protect her. It’s a wonder she didn’t get frostbite. She especially loves the taste of chilled humans.

Then there was a giant monster version of Jekyll and Hyde. Eunice the spriggan. She was a fairy whose malformed face ruined your childhood image of fairies and made you fear them. But it wasn’t her ugly mug that was the scary part. One minute she could be the sweetest thing and the next thing she could be an angry, swearing, violent fiend who hit everyone below the belt. But what really terrified you was that she had a human boyfriend, but she ate him because her hostile personality accused him of cheating on her, which he didn’t even do.

Last of B Block was an obese crow tengu named Core. Core was a klepto who stole everything shiny that wasn’t nailed down. She was actually brought to the K.D.P. for stealing a diamond. While she acted friendly towards humans, she was no friend because Core was a compulsive eater and will unconsciously stuff herself with anything edible available and that included people. What’s scary is that she could be talking to you one second, not realize she’s swallowing you the next second and still be talking shortly afterwards without realizing you’re in her stomach.

This was yet another hall of horrors and you were shivering. Suddenly you hear a strange noise that sounded like snapping and gasp. There was only one creature that made that snapping noise. It was that werecrab Lilith. Lilith was one of the orderlies that wanted to eat you and she loved to taunt you with her snapping claws. Dr. West doesn’t like the orderlies to eat human patients but unfortunately for you Dr. West wasn’t in the hallway. If Lilith saw you out of your cage, you’ll be eaten. Your only hope is to hide in a B-Block cell and even then you’d risk getting eaten.

But Lilith’s shadow comes closer and you realize you’re going to have to take your chances since it appears you’ll be in somebody’s stomach no matter what. But who’s room do you go into?

2. Artemis the Python
