You hear flapping and realize the guard was coming from D-Block. All three D-Block guards were flying monsters associated with the air. You figure that Kaguya recruited them specifically to act as recon in case any of the patients got loose.
First of them was Gail the cockatrice, a creature resembling a cross between a lizard and a chicken. Gail was Charlene’s girlfriend, but you hoped that Charlene would dump that chicken because not only was Gail a predator, she was trying to turn your Jersey devil friend onto humans herself. If Gail didn’t try to eat you herself, she’d try and find some way to trick Charlene into eating you. You really hate that cockatrice.
Then there was one who just plain hated you. Abilene, a pegasus with brown fur and white hair in a pink bikini. Once again this was another aspect of your childhood turned into horror. The fairy you knew was a bipolar grotesque, the unicorn was a maneater and this pegasus wanted to stomp you into paste. Abilene was worried you’d ruin her chances with the human lifeguard Stephen. You heard Stephen already had a werewolf, a werejaguar, a wyvern and a werecroc chasing after him among other things and Abilene didn’t want any competition from someone of Stephen’s species. If she saw you out of your cage, she’d turn you into a bloody smear.
The last orderly was this obnoxious bird called Virginia. The wereowl didn’t want to be an orderly forever and felt she knew more about treating the patients than Dr. West herself. However her methods either made things worse or didn’t do anything at all. Still she was A) the closest orderly to Whitney and B) a bird of prey. Why do so many monsters in this hospital like to eat humans?
You cross your fingers and hope for the best and then you see that the orderly coming in was...
