Sokka was too dense to get it

Sokka replied to her, "Uh, you are a great hunter Notai."

Notai felt bad about her flirting skills as Katara then said to Sokka, "Hey, Sokka perhaps we should make a declaration of war on the Fire Nation."

Sokka shook his head as he then said to her, "No, we will not do such a thing. The soldiers and civilians are blinded by the greed from a previous ruler. And the war has become a more dependable cycle than the cycle of the Avatar. I decree that we will go to war with the intent of stopping the Fire Lord and restoring the Fire Nation in a peaceful manner. I shall set out in two weeks to the Northern Water Tribe to assert my royal status."

The group nodded and they began to eat as Gran-Gran said holding up a cup of seaway, "To King Sokka."
