“So you succeeded and fully passed the test.” The lion turtle tells Sokka.
“Only because of your good advice so I humbly offer you my thanks mam. I see you are free of the dark influence you have been keeping at bay. I’m glad.” Sokka tells the now normal looking lion turtle.
“Thank you Sokka.” the lion turtle says.
“I need to leave but I will visit you again sometime.” Sokka tells the beast.
“I look forward to it.” the lion turtle tells Sokka before she sinks into the now blue water.
With this Sokka calls upon his new power by bending down before jumping into the air allowing him to wobbly fly out of the room leaving a black trail of dark matter behind him witch quickly dissipates. He makes one stop before heading home at the library so he can raid it for water bending scrolls. He finds only a basic offensive scroll but Sokka does find a full set of healing scrolls.
As Sokka leaves the abandoned city he vows to return it to its former glory one day. But Sokka knew he would first have to learn to use his new bending, as he was quite clumsy with it at the moment.
The western artic village…
Katara stared at the gate along with several of the other woman as they went about their dally labors hoping to see Sokka on the horizon. It had been a week since Sokka left to take the Rite of the King. Every woman and child in the village just knew he would be returning on this day for some reason. This was strange to them since they knew it would take him at least five more days to return home by foot.
Around noon they saw something on the horizon and at first they thought it was a bird. But as the thing got closer group saw it was a flying man leaving a black trail of light behind him. When he landed outside the gate the village realized just who it was.
“Sokka your back.” the twelve year old Katara yells as she runs to hug her brother fallowed by the rest of the children of the village.
Sokka returns the hug Katara gives him as Gran-Gran approaches.
“Show me the back of your right hand.” Gran-Gran tells Sokka with a smile.
Sokka hold up right hand clenched in a fist showing that the back of it was blank. Then Sokka wills the mark to life showing the fancy glowing black spade on the back.
“Welcome home my King.” Kana tells Sokka as she bows.
Everyone in the village fallows the actions of the Wise Woman.
“Stand for a King is nothing without his people it is I should bow to you.” Sokka says before he bows to the village.
“We will have a feast tonight my King to celebrate the start of your rule.” Kana tells Sokka with a smile.
“You’re my Gran-Gran you will always be able to call me Sokka.” Sokka tells his grandmother as he hugs her.
With this the woman get to work preparing the feast well Sokka goes take a bath.
