Going for a ride

You start the car, and pull out into the entryway. Your car bounces along the vinyl flooring, but you push it onward. You have no desire to be caught in the middle of the floor when the family gets back.

You can see an enormous kitchen not far away, relatively speaking. That would be a great place to hide, and scavenge for food. Then again, a long wooden hallway beckoned you onward into the living area.
