Chapter #4

The Giant Dad, Mike Jackson is first.

    by: Unknown
Mike Jackson opened the door to his new house. He had some problems at his old teaching job. Truthfully, he was lucky he was not locked up. There were allegations of him touching a female student in his 4th grade P.E. class but these allegations went nowhere when an investigation found out that the child had some major family problems. Still the stigma followed him around. He decided it was best just to find another teaching position in another state. His family supported him and reluctantly agreed to the move. “Come on Lauren; look at our new home” he shouted. “I am coming dear” she replied. Lauren lifted her sexy 33-year-old ass out of the car and walked to the front door. “Ow, Jeremy is hitting me!” Shouted Lauren’s 6-year-old daughter. “Am not!” shouted her 12-year-old son. “Knock it off you two. Now come see our new home,” she told them. The kids stepped out of the minivan and joined their mother at the front door. “All right everyone welcome home,” Mike told his family. The Jackson family stepped inside of the empty house. “Who owned this house before us dear?” Lauren asked. “Some scientist dude. Heard he just holed himself up in his house working on something. He ended up being killed in a car accident,” he told her.

The moving van showed up 10 minutes later to drop off their furniture. Moving stuff around, Mike noticed he needs to store some things in the basement. Using one of the keys in his possession, he opened the door. The basement was empty except for a large table in the center with a touch screen on it. What is this? He wondered. He plugged the cord into the wall and pushed a red switch near the screen. The table hummed to life and the touch screen flickered showing an overhead map. “A GPS system? That is fucking stupid to have a GPS that big,” he said. Mike took the stuff he was carrying and sat it down in the basement.

Later that night, Mike was sitting in the living room watching TV. His family had gone to bed earlier. Being bored, he went back downstairs to check out the table again. He was startled when he heard his son’s voice behind him. “Dad, what is that?” The boy said rubbing his eyes. “Some kind of GPS” he answered. “Cool, can we see our old house on it?” he asked. “I guess so,” Mike answered. Mike knew that Jeremy had liked the old house. He did not want to move but his dad talked him into letting go of his old life. It did not help that all his friends, including his girlfriend, stopped talking to him. Mike imputed his old address into the screen. The table instantly showed a miniature house. Whoa, 3-D Jeremy says. It is as if you can touch it Mike says to his son. Mike stuck his hand into the portal generated by the table and touched a car parked on the street. To his surprise, the car alarm went off. “Holy shit its real,” Mike says quietly. Mike wondered what could do with his discovery. “Jeremy goes to bed,” he told his son. “But dad that looks cool. Let me try it” he asks. “I said go to bed!” He yells to his son. Jeremy slinks upstairs leaving Mike alone with the table. “Can I grab people?” He wondered. Mike wanted to find out.
