Chapter #6
None of it was real. He was always diapered
by: Unknown
The lab was a large room full of amazing and cold, dark, machines. Each one beeped and wooed, and some let off steam. Large pipes ran everything along the walls, and a few on the floor. Lights were on, but the biggest lights came from the machines and knobs. They lit up everything. There was a massive computer near a larger workbench and there sat a small, ginger-haired boy in a labcoat, turning the wrench one final time on a remote control.
"Sucess!" He shouted with a strange little accent.
Another voice from farther away shouted back, faintly, "DEXTER, DINNER!"
and in a flash the lab was gone, the so-fitting labcoat became an ill-fitting coat from a doctor halloween custom and the controller with a single button turned into a piece of wood with a number of sewing buttons stuck to it. The computer, was now just blocks and books from the shelf spread out on the rug around the small boy in a very simple bedroom.
"Dexter, didn't you hear your mother?" Asked a voice from the doorway. In response to the voice, Dexter looked up, drooling a bit into his toy and didn't really answer. Instead, the redhead just held up his peice of 2×4 with non-working buttons on it. He then pushed one of the buttons that did nothing and with a vacent he stsrted to suck his thumb.
Who was the voice?
