You decide that you want to find out if the old man was telling the truth about the bruise on your girlfriend's elbow. You pick up your phone and call her. After a few rings, she picks up.
"Hello?"
"Hey, it's me. How are you doing?" You say.
"Hi. I'm good, just getting ready for bed. What's up." She asks.
"Listen, something strange happened just after you left. Some old man came up to me and told me that I was 'gifted'." You tell her.
"Gifted? In what way?" She asks.
"Well, he said that I have some rare power that can heal people. I know it sounds crazy, but can you tell me how your bruise is doing."
"It's not too bad. It doesn't hurt...Wait... Where is it?.... It's gone! My bruise is gone!" She tells you. You couldn't believe it. The old man was right about her bruise vanishing.
"That's what he told me! He said that when we kissed, your bruise just vanished." You tell her.
"Wow. Listen. I'm going to come over to your place tomorrow and we can discuss this more then, okay?" She says.
"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow." You tell her. You both hang up.
You then get ready for bed and go to sleep. The next day, your girlfriend shows up at your house. You invite her in and you discuss your healing powers for a bit. She then agrees to let you try it out on her. You decide to.
