Test out the healing ability on yourself

You decide that the best way to prove that the healing power is real is to test it out on yourself. You went downstairs to the kitchen and grab a sharp knife from one of the drawers. You then take it back up to your room and sit on your bed. You think for a few minutes about what you are going to do. You didn't want to do anything to serious just in case it doesn't work.
You decide that you will start off with something small first and if it works, you can always try something bigger later on. With the knife in one hand, you hold up your other hand at ready the blade next to one of your fingers. Once you are ready, you run the sharp edge of the knife along the tip of your finger. It hurt much more than what you were expecting. You sit the knife down and inspect your finger. The cut was pretty deep and blood was seeping out of it. You then put your supposed power to the test. You kiss your finger and then wait to see if anything happens.
As you finished kissing your finger, you noticed that the pain was slowly fading away. You wiped away some of the blood on your finger and watched as the cut sealed itself up, not leaving a scar or any trace that there was ever a cut there. You lean back against your wall, still staring in amazement at your now healed finger.

"Holy crap! It worked!" You tell yourself. You couldn't believe that the old man was telling the truth. You thought of all the possibilities of this power, but first you needed to test your limits. The old man also stated that the power will develop over time. You thought about what to do next.
