You're watching TV one day when a strange commercial comes on.
"Have you ever wanted to live somebody else's life? Well, now you can! Swapcorp, using all-new technology, can give you a thirty day free trial of living in somebody else's body, in an all new life! Act now, this offer lasts for a limited time!"
A phone number flashes up on the screen. Intrigued, you decide there can't be any harm in calling it.
"Hello, this is Swapcorp."
You can barely say, "Hello" when a knock comes at your door. You answer the door and see a smartly-dressed woman with a briefcase.
"Hello, Jack," she says, "My name is Paige. I'll be helping you swap!"
You have a lot of questions, but she just walks up to your kitchen table and opens the briefcase. She pulls out what you could only describe as a wrist strap and a headseat.
"Please put these on," she says, and helps you get the headseat on as you wrap the strap around your wrist.
"So, this is for real?" you ask. "Yes, this is perfectly legitimate," she says, "Sign this." She hands you a sheet of paper, and upon skimming it, you sign.
"Very good. You are about to start a 30-day free trial of a random new life. We are not responsible for any bad situations occurring in this new life. If you wish to live your new life for longer, call the number you originally called. Enjoy your experience."
She presses a button and suddenly everything goes dark...
