Boys Dormitory?

Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood(Ravenclaw), and Ginny Weasley start work on their own spell to shrink anything they point it at with ease. Testing it on a book of Hogwarts opened to a page about the Boys Dorms in Gryffindor Tower, however they think the spell was a failure since the book remained at normal size. The three girls then go to see if Harry and Ron would like to join them for lunch in the grand hall. They use a password to get inside past the paining of the fat lady only to see that the place appears to be deserted, unaware that all the students inside had shrunk earlier when they were testing their spell earlier.
