Option 1 or 2? Why not both?

They heard a strange cry sounding like no pony or anything else they had ever heard before.

They turned to see a long and very strange looking dragon. They all recoiled in surprise and alarm.

"Oh, excuse me."

The voice sounded strange, but the shy demenear was unmistakeably Fluttershy!"

Everypony blinked in surprise.

"Fluttershy?" Twilight asked. "Why are you wearing that goofy dragon costume Rarity made?"

"I'm not... I just look like this."

Twilight pinched the cheeks to make sure.

"Wow.... I never imagined their was actually a dragon that looked like that. No wonder the others were fooled by our disguise."

"Huh?" Fluttershy didn't comprehend.

"Never mind." Twilight shook her head. "Ok we're almost together, we just need to find Rarity."

A tall, slim white haired unicorn walked by approaching the group, with a long pink mane.

"Rarity?" Twilight asked.

"No...." The unicorn said sullenly. Her voice sounded lowered pitched and more childish than Twilight would have expected. "I wish I were..."

Twilight blinked, trying to guess the identity of the mystery pony. Then it dawned on her.

"Spike?!"

The unicorn nodded.

Twilight glared, assuming her "strict mom/older sister" face.

"What do you mean "you wish you were Rarity"?!"

Fleur's dignified face displayed Spike's adolescent embarrassment.

"Well... uhhh..."

Rainbow Dash laughed out loud.

"Isn't it obvious? He's at that age!!"

Twilight gave her a swift nudge.

Spike took the opportunity to change the subject.

"Why are we all in different bodies?"

Dash spoke up.

"Because Twilight messed up a spell. Again!"

Twilight glowered at Dash.

"I didn't do this!... maybe..."

"Well who did?" Fleur Spike asked.

"I don't know, maybe Celestia will be able to tell us..."

"But isn't she right here?" Spike pointed his hoof at the alicorn.

"Nah. I just woke up in the Princesses body..."

"And Luna?"

"I AM THE PRINCESS OF PARTIES!"

"Pinkie Pie, quit messing around?"

"Why? If I'm going to be stuck in Luna's body I might as well make the best of it!"
