Seeing the massive cavern of Justin’s mouth must’ve given her the strength to keep going. Her fear of getting eaten alive forced her to try again, to pull her leg up from the sticky hole she was almost trapped in. Without a word, she pulled her leg free and started running like crazy again. However, she’d abandoned her path towards the crust and instead rushed to the side of the pizza slice.
Jules was running out of time. Justin’s mouth was closing in, ready to take a big bite into the slice. She didn’t want to go in, no way. She didn’t care where she’d end up, but anywhere sounded so much better than there. So with some luck, Jules made it to the edge of the slice and didn’t hesitate to jump.
“Ahhhh!” She screamed, waving her arms around like she was a flightless bird while falling from the pizza. A part of her really should’ve stopped and thought this one better, she knew from video games what happens when you fall from a very tall height. It doesn’t end well for the player.
So imagine her surprise when she landed in a massive pool with a big SPLASH that followed.
Jules quickly swam up to the surface and gasped for breath. She was dreadfully cold and desperately wanted a blanket to cover herself up. Plus, she didn’t know how she ended up in here at all. Then she noticed how dark it was with the only light source coming from the oval-like hole in the ceiling.
“Wait…didn’t Justin say he was gonna get-“ floating above the surface some more, Jules cupped a small portion of the liquid and took a sip of it. It tasted oddly enough like cherry flavored soda. “Oh no. Oh no no no no NO!”
She’s forgotten that Justin was getting a soda earlier, and now here she was inside of one! Only now can she see the chin of her cousin moving up and down with a wide smile. She thought she had escaped such a fate, and yet it was like she was doomed to end up inside of his stomach.
She didn’t have time to think about escaping, when he started raising the can towards him. Everything shifted forward towards the opening just when his lips came into view.
“Why is this happening to me!?” The young Jules shouted and made an attempt to start swimming against the incoming current. But no matter how hard or fast she can paddle her arms, she knew it wouldn’t be enough. Why did it seem like she was fated to be swallowed alive?
