The caticorn flies through the the portal.

When the caticorn is finally through the hole that it created it finds itself on a big pile of deal-with-it-bananas. The caticorn eats one of them and then leaves the pile of ignorant bananas.
The caticorn walks for hours in the blank world until it blacks out of exhaustion. When it wakes up the caticorn finds itself before the Giant Lettuce of Doom.
