Chapter #3

was approached by a biker.

A broad smile split the visage of the thickly muscled biker that approached you, his arms opened wide as he came in for an all too friendly hug, nearly lifting you off your feet. "OH, hell, don't you worry about these boys. They're just jealous that you managed to catch ol' red's eye, and on your first visit no less! What's yer name, kiddo?"

You were taken aback, staggering backwards as he was finally released from the overly familiar hug, looking up past the broad shelf of pectoral muscle that was at eye level at him as he stammered his name, feeling his cheeks flush already. "It's uh. . . it's William, sir. Bill to my friends. And. . . you said that was 'Red'? The bouncer?"

Another grin split the biker's face as he turned, draping an arm over your shoulders to guide you towards the door. "Oh. Oh, no. That's just what I call him. If you was told to call him 'sir' you're better off doin' just that. But don't worry. I'll keep an eye out for ol' red until he's done clocking out. Let's just get inside before you freeze out here or, worse yet, someone else snatches you up for playtime."

Surely a newcomer to the bar wasn't that rare an occurrence that they'd be fighting over you like that. Maybe it was just because it was so chilly tonight. Or maybe your new 'friend' had already had one too many.

You can't help but chuckle under your breath at that, even as the door swings open. Your momentary reprieve wiped away by the brilliant, overwhelming onslaught of colors and lights that washed over you as you were ushered through the doorway. You half-expected a cacophony of noise, music and raucous laughter as the door opened, instead, utter silence met you, only your own heartbeat thudding in your ears as your vision slowly cleared.

But what lie before you now. . . it couldn't be right. The building's interior stretched further and higher than should be possible, both in terms of common sense and the very laws of physics; you knew for a fact it wasn't this large on the outside!

One by one the people in the bar slowly turned to look in your direction, looming colossi each seated at the bar or milling on the dance floor, their attentions immediately drawn to the newcomer that had scampered through the door.

You were about to back your way through the door when another figure appeared. You gaped as a boot crashed down beside you, spinning on your heel to recover as your head whipped upwards to try to take in the form of your new biker friend who now loomed overhead as he grinned, his face mostly obscured now by that thick beard and the pecs that stretched his shirt far too thin. "Don' you worry, lil' Billy. I promised I'd keep ya secure for Red an' that still stands."

But just how massive was this figure before you?
