Climb his desk to get closer so he can see you

Deciding to climb his desk you make for his chair. If you just waved at him he might think you were a bug and squish. If you climbed him what would happen to you if you fell? Not wanting to think about you decide to climb to the top of his desk since it wouldn't move and possibly drop you. Looking at Tom Nook once more, you notice he's standing near his desk looking around the store. After making it to his chair you start to climb it. Thinking of using his chair to the top of his desk you believe would be the plan with the less risk. After a bit of a climb you make it to the seat. Deciding to rest a bit before climbing he arms of the chair you lay down. Shortly after laying down though, you see Tom Nook start to move. After watching him for a bit you realize...
