It was later that night and little Mikey was already asleep while Kat sat in bed reading her trashy romance novel and Sean dug around the closet for his missing letterman's jacket.
"I swear it's in here somewhere," muttered Sean a little out of breath.
"Darling, don't worry about it," Kat said not even looking up from her book," We'll find you something else to wear."
"Ah-Ha!" explained Sean.
"Sean, Mikey is sleeping," Kat hushed.
"Sorry dear, it's just that I found the jacket and..." Sean said his enthusiastic voice trailing off.
"..and?" Kat asked looking up over her book.
"Oh boy.." Sean said with a bit of struggle in his voice.
"What is it Sean?" Kat asked with a bit of concern.
"Brace yourself babe," Sean said and slowly walked out of their walk in closet wearing only his boxer briefs and the medium sized shirt that was far too narrow and could never be zipped up over Sean's thick 320 pound body. " I can't fit into my letterman's jacket.."
"Sean.. you realize you're nearly twice the man you were back in high school, right?" Kat asked.
"I know.. but I didn't realize I had gotten this big," Sean said looking at himself in the mirror and running his hand over the curve of his gut. He tried to suck it is but it made no difference. " What are they going to say about us when the prom king and queen show up looking so fat?"
"Do you love me?" Kat asked pointedly.
"With all my heart," Sean answered with no hesitation.
"And I know that," Kat smiled," I know how much my thicker butt got you so excited that I got pregnant. I also know that every minute I was pregnant you were here worshipping me like a goddess even when I was at my biggest. I don't need those former classmates for validation and neither should you," Kat said plainly.
"You were really sexy back then," Sean said getting closer and sitting on the side of the bed and kissing Kat's soft hand gently. Sean noticed how much his gut spread across his lap now.
"Now what we can do is try a crash course diet and try to lose some weight before the reunion knowing we will never get down to our high school weight in a month, or we could not worry about it... Or.." Kat said with a devilish grin.
"Or what..?" Sean asked intrigued knowing when Kat had that smile something spicy was going to happen.
"Or we could pack on as much weight as we can and show them what real love looks like," Kat suggested and slapped her belly loudly.
