"Do you want to be partners, Minako-chan?" Fuuka asked very quickly after Mitsuru had finished. Yukari did a double-take.
"Oh...I suppose so..." Minako said. Yukari could only watch in shocked silence as the two of them sat down opposite her and Aigis, who, with dawning horror, Yukari realized she would now be partnered with. For her part, Fuuka did at least look properly remorseful for screwing Yukari over. Yukari wondered if, had she been quicker, would she have done the same thing?
Whatever the answer to that question was, it hardly mattered now. Yukari could scarcely think of a worse situation she could have landed in here. Minako and Fuuka were an academic dream team. The best in their year, Minako would likely have no problem answering most questions which, in turn, would keep Fuuka modest, therefore eliminating what Yukari suspected would be her biggest weakness. If Fuuka couldn't be made to feel sufficiently embarrassed enough to start flubbing answers, there was basically no chance they weren't going to win. In fact, Yukari doubted she'd see so much as a bare foot from either of them before she and Aigis would be left stark naked at Mitsuru's feet, played with in any way she saw fit.
Yukari knew her best hope, her only hope really, was to try and strip Mitsuru before her team lost. Of course, if Aigis screwed up every single question she was pretty sure using basic addition that there was no way that could happen before Yukari herself ended up naked, and that's assuming she get her questions right every time. She would probably even have to do some of Mitsuru's "cross that bridge when we come to it" penalties. Still, if she could keep it together she could at least save herself (and Aigis, she supposed) from Mitsuru's ultimate punishment.
"It would seem you've chosen your teams. Very well, we'll begin. Aigis, since you've been having the most trouble, we'll start with you," Mitsuru said.
