Mitsuru had originally been unwilling to go shopping with Minako. She was a typically busy woman and didn't really put aside the time for something as trivial as shopping for extra clothing. However, Minako proved incredibly persuasive (likely a result of her natural leadership skills, Mitsuru reasoned) and had Mitsuru accompanying her to the mall before she knew it.
Feeling out of her element, Mitsuru allowed Minako to lead her along, taking her from one store to another, insisting on picking out dresses and outfits for Mitsuru to try on. Mitsuru wanted to protest that she felt like a child's doll, but couldn't bring herself to spoil the energetic girl's fun. Instead, she willingly went along with Minako out of the latest store and back into the mall's main courtyard.
"Alright, senpai, we've made good progress so far! You look really good in a lot of those outfits, you know; you should really consider buying them!" Minako chirped, as cheery as ever.
"Perhaps. It's definitely something I'll keep in mind." Mitsuru replied kindly, legitimately starting to enjoy herself. "Now, are we not finished? I believe we've visited every clothing store the mall has to offer."
"Not every store, senpai." Minako answered. "There's still one more you absolutely must check out!"
Of course Minako wasn't done. The girl's energy was practically infectious, and Mitsuru was honestly curious to see what other store Minako had in mind. Closing her eyes at Minako's insistence ("It's a surprise!" she had teased.) Mitsuru found herself led to one of the last places she'd have expected.
