"I'm actually really glad to hear that." You say with a relived smile as you straightened out your brown, tattered jacket. "My life for the past twenty-five years has been a complete dumpster fire. I've lived in an orphanage for eighteen of those years. I've got no family. No friends to take me in. I just got evicted, fired from my last job, and my possessions repossessed. I was about to just go and meet St. Peter before I found this place!"
"I'm glad you did, Ma'am." Hank said with a smile. "I'm sure that your life will treat you better as a pet than it did as a human."
"That's what I'm counting on." You say as you brush back your long, red hair.
"I'll just let you take a look around and see what animal you would like to become." Hank said as he walked over to the counter, only to come to a stop as he saw that you walked up beside him.
"Actually," you say, "I've given it a lot of thought before coming into the shop, and I know exactly what I want to be!"
"And what would that be, Ma'am?"
"Well," you explained, "back in the orphanage, the caretakers allowed us to have one pet that all the kids were responsible to take care of. We called him Blueberry, and he was the best pet we ever had growing up. And that's precisely why I'd like to be..."
