The ship reached the island as there was a woman there. She was about Sokka's age with white skin and brown eyes. Her hair was brown in a pair of braided tails. Her bosom was a c-cup and covered by a green shirt. She wore a yellow hat made of wool and a yellow skirt. She walked up to the crew that got off the ship and began to secure the ship. She said to Sokka, "Hello, I'm Yi Wen, please come with me. This storm is too rough, no merchandise is worth your life."
Sokka nodded as he said to her, "You're right, only honor is worth one's life."
Sokka shouted to the group, "Let's go!"
Sokka and the group went into one of the houses as they stayed with Yi Wen, Tahn her brother and Ying her sister in law. The storm soon ended in the morning. Sokka went to Yi Wen, "How can we thank you or repay you. You took us in free of charge and I want to show that means a lot to us."
Yi Wen then said to him, "There's mountian to the East, if you could..."
Yi Wen was interrupted by Tahn as he said to her, "Yi Wen what have I told you? The Earth Bender the Boulder will be here soon to alleviate the problem. These water tribe peasants can't do anything, we don't need to be bringing them into this."
Sokka then said to her, "I'll go investigate this."
Sokka then looked to Notai and said, "You coming?"
Notai nodded as the pair went out and headed to the mountain. The pair got there and saw a path of disturbed earth. Something the width of three Sokka and the length ad infinite slithered in this part of the forest. At the foot of the mountain was a large Giant Wolf Snake. It had a scaled head of a wolf with long snake tongue and at the end of it's body were two four feet long tails.
Sokka then grabbed his boomerang as he saw that there was the skeletons of children. A sign in the distance said, "Beware, this animal captures small children preferring to eat easy prey. If you are not with an adult, please turn back."
Sokka then glared at the beast, he knew that the animal was just getting an easy meal. But, these people should have been more careful of their children. Sokka then threw his boomerang as it flew at the beast. The giant wolf snake dodged the attack as it dashed at Sokka.
Notai leaped out and swung down her machete at it's nose. A cut was made as the wolf snake hissed pulling it's head back. The pair of hunters stood their ground as Sokka caught his boomerang. He then pulled out his club as he said to her, "Maybe the same tactic of vibrations will throw it off like the Whale Sea Moccasin."
Sokka then smacked the ground as he threw the club at the beast. The club missed on purpose as the vibration still going through the club threw off the beasts sight. Sokka threw his boomerang as it circled around the body of the beast twice before returning. To large and long lacerations scared it's body.
Notai then went in with her machete as the bleeding beast went in having it's fangs come out. Sokka leaped pushing Notai out of the way as the bite was too late. Notai swung at the beast down it's head with the machete as Sokka's left bicep was pierced by the fang. Sokka instantly felt the burn nearly kill him as the pair hit the dirt and slide. The beast snapped back and forth as it hit the ground. It bled out as Sokka then lost consciousness.
