This choice: Your best friend, Dallas, calling from the house on your right • Go Back... Dallas, or you think it's Dallas, you had heard your friend's voice but he had ducked down behind his fence, collecting things off the ground. Your curiosity getting the better of you, you end up walking over to the fence, some grunts from your friends exertions could be heard as he moved around, and then chuckled as he mumbled a little.
"Hey, Dallas. What's going on?" You ask, your mouth turning up into a grin.
He snickers. "You know, the usual sort of deal, making sure the lawn looks perfect, can't have any less!"
You stop and chuckle a bit, Dallas' parents loved their yard neatly trimmed and would often get him to go outside to make sure nothing was amiss, they claimed he had a 'nose' for those sort of things. They could be given that, their lawn often looked like the best one on the block, if not the entire neighborhood.
Counting yourself lucky your parents didn't mind the job you did on your own lawn, otherwise you'd never get to do anything, like hang out with your friends, or even manage to get any other work done.
Dallas finally finishes with what he was doing, soon standing back up again and looking right over at you.
When you see him once more, you freeze stutter a moment, he's no longer exactly the Dallas you remember, he's become a... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
