This choice: Fast forward to the end of the day • Go Back...Chapter #7Another Day Another Dollar by: Lelouch After the early-morning incident the day continued without any further problems. Not a single person seemed the slightest bit bothered that they and their children watched a man become a mere splatter on Max's toes. Quite the contrary in fact. Pictures, recordings and even limited edition merchandise became available for sale at the gift shops located safely away. Unsurprisingly, they sold out in minutes, allowing a select few to have a little something to remember the incident by. Stupid as he was, the foolish man ended up making Max a hefty profit. Such a shame he wasn't around to enjoy his ten seconds of fame.
Unfortunately, like all amusement parks, closing time soon came as the sun began to set on another profitable day, the blue-haired bombshell sighing as she sensed the yellow star's rays to longer gracefully tanning her tattoo-laden skin as before.
"Closing time, everyone," Max whispered. "Thanks for coming by today. Hope to see you all back here again tomorrow!"
A collective sigh escaped from the combined masses scattered across her 100 mile form, disappointed that the world's greatest theme park had once again shut down for the day. One by one they began to exit the giantess, scurrying along to their respective vehicles and heading home, after a trip to the gift shop of course. Max silently watched from the corner of her eye as the last of the specks of light began to vanish into the distance.
Once she was sure that no one remained on her titanic body she sat up and stretched her arms, notable pops coming from each of them. "Another day another few thousand dollars." She sighed. The end of the day always depressed her to some extent; it meant that for a little while she was not making any money.
"Hmm?" Max noticed a small man running towards her. Carefully she lowered her face to see and hear him. "Yes?"
"Just here to deliver the numbers for today's profits Mam!"
The uninterested look Max had immediately vanished. "Go on."
"Today went marvelously. On top of our regular entry fee profits of 520,000 dollars we also made a killing on the limited edition souvenir merchandise from the...incident this morning. Add that together with food sales and you made just over a million dollars in one day. Congratulations!"
The giantess smiled, "Over a million hmm? Excellent..." It just went to show how the world with Max went. She publicly crushed a man in front of thousands of people and not only received no punishment, but made an incredible profit off of it. Max couldn't help but chuckle at the thought. Maybe she should make a habit out of crushing people more often.
"I-If I may Mam?"
"Huh?"
"What...do you need all this money for?"
The joy left Max's face. "Do I need a reason?"
"N-No I just..." The little worker realized he jumped into a topic he shouldn't have. "I mean...you're the richest person in the world. A year after you established yourself as an attraction you made enough money that you could do anything you wanted. But here you are, years later, still doing your best to make as much money as you can...Why?"
"Is that your business?"
"N-No."
"It's my decision whether or not I've made enough money, as well as what I do with that. Next time keep your curiosity to yourself before I end up having another limited edition souvenir."
"S-Sorry Mam! I'll leave now."
"Scurry along little bug." Max gently blew, sending the pest back several feet before getting back up.
With a scowl on her face Max grabbed her clothes and slid them on. First was a black, sleeveless tank-top cut so that it exposed all her cleavage. Next was a pair of high-rising jean shorts that barely held back her sizable rear. Once she was dressed she rose to her feet and stretched some more. After lying down all day her body was incredibly stiff, though it was nothing new.
If I remember right tomorrow's supposed to be over a hundred degrees? That'll probably get me real sweaty. Maybe I can run tomorrow as a water park and charge extra for people to slide down my body...Hmm...We'll have to wait and see. Already her head was on business for tomorrow. There was no such thing as a break to the blue-haired Goddess. All day, every day it was about money.
That's not for another ten hours though. Max frowned. I slept most of the day too. Need to kill some time until morning...Hmm...that should do it... A smile crept onto her face as she got the perfect idea for how to kill time.
