Suddenly, Farley realized something went wrong the moment he pressed the button. Blinking twice Farley noticed a little girl's head on top of his wife's body. She had shoulder length brown hair, green/blue eyes, and pale skin; contrasting his wife's tan skinned body.
"Excuse me, Mister! Excuse me,' said the girl, trying to Farley's attention by waving his wife's hands in front of him. 'Excuse me, but where am I?"
Taking a second a moment before Farley's surprise wore off. He said, "Um, I'm sorry. My name is Farley Baelin and this is my house. Who are you?"
"I'm Amanda Smith. I'm 7 years old and live on Bradley Street near the elementary school I go to," said Amanda.
"The school next to the big city park?" asked Farley.
"Yes, that's the one," said Amanda.
"Where you in class when you suddenly was here?' asked Farley. 'It's only 15 after 1 pm."
"Uh, yeah I was. Which brings me to my next question,' said Amanda. 'How did this happen?"
Cringing, Farley said, " Well, that's a great question. Well,...."
Suddenly Farley's cell phone rang, interrupting Farley's explanation. "Who's that," he thought as he took his cell phone out of his pocket and looked who it was.
Not knowing the number he held it out to Amanda and asked, "Is this your number?"
Looking at the number closely Amanda said, "yes. that's my phone number. It must be your wife. She must be attached to my body and at my school. Oh my god, what will my friends say, the teacher, my parents!?"
"Well I don't know but i'm going to answer," responded Farley, bringing the phone up to his ear and hitting the answer button....   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
