You sat up and gasped, seeing Mat, now Mattie, wearing one of your old dresses from when you were her age. You were scared but your new little sister looked so cute, you could not help smile a little. "You look cute... Mattie." you said.
"Shut up!" moaning, Mattie said. "Just wait until I get my own lab!"
"That won't happen until you prove you can use your powers responsibly." serious, James replied. "Dad told me how you teased Jess about finding your book. You know what the conditions of the event are."
"Event?" curious, you asked.
"You could call them spells." shrugging, James said. "Only they are more complex than merely saying 'it was magic'."
"How long is Mattie going to stay that way?" seeing her pout, you asked.
"That's up to you." smiling, James replied. "When you can forgive him for teasing you, dad will change her back to his normal self." he then rose a finger of warning. "Just bear in mind, if you tease Mattie to tears, you will be next."
"So, what do you think I should do?" curious, you asked. "I've always wanted a little sister, even if just for a while but I don't want to hurt... her."
James smiled. "Being a girl for a day will not hurt her." to Mattie's horror, he said. "The choice is yours."
